Infused in folklore, I’ve always been fascinated by the Hawthorn tree. This print is taken from one of a number of painting studies where I took the idea of the ‘universal’ (the billion stars and planets in the cosmos) and imagined this infinity contained as the berries and mottling leaves of Autumn when this most majestic of trees explodes into colour.
